This morning I'm walking around my house getting ready for work and looking at:
And I'm just smiling, because that's life, isn't it? We live our lives in our houses.
But I hear so much stress from moms, especially, about the need to get it all done.
Get what done? I wrestle with that. Yes, I get stressed when my house messiness gets to a certain level, where I feel like it's totally filled with meaningless crap we don't even use. Accumulation bothers us big time.
But dishes in the sink? Check. Toys on the floor? Check. Piles of books? Check.
I wonder if we all posted pictures of our houses with no editing whatsoever, at 8:30 tonight, what it would bring up for us?
Would we all be ashamed? Relieved?
I'll tell you what. I'll show you mine if you show me yours.
If you guys leave 15 blog comments here answering the question at the bottom of the post, I'll give you a Real Life House Tour of my teeny, messy cottage. Then, you will feel so, so good about yourself. Instant, free, self-esteem boost.
The question you have to answer is: What is the one thing you love most about your home that you would never, ever trade in a million years?
1) Comments left on FB and Twitter don't count! Must be left on the blog
2) Must answer the question!
And... go! Tell a friend - in fact, tell 10 friends.
